BIO

Attorney Fariha Chowdhry is an immigration attorney whose dedication to her practice is deeply rooted in her personal journey as a first-generation American who grew up in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Her unique upbringing has endowed her with a broad perspective, enabling her to connect with and advocate for clients from diverse backgrounds. 

 

Her academic achievements at the University of Houston, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science with Magna Cum Laude honors, laid the groundwork for her legal career. This journey continued at South Texas College of Law Houston, where she pursued her Juris Doctorate. Her passion for immigration law was ignited during her participation in the Asylum and Human Trafficking Clinic, where she represented indigent clients in U-visa, T-visa and asylum applications, an experience that deeply influenced her career path. 

 

Beyond her primary focus on immigration law, Fariha has also dedicated part of her practice to family law matters, reflecting her commitment to supporting individuals and families through some of their most challenging moments. In family law, she has navigated complex cases involving divorce, custody, and adoption, applying her keen legal expertise and empathy to seek outcomes that safeguard the well-being and dignity of those involved.  These endeavors in family highlight her versatility and deep commitment to justice, complementing her immigration practice and showcasing her ability to handle a wide range of legal challenges with compassion and diligence. 

 

Her commitment to effective conflict resolution is further evidenced by her certification as a Mediator, obtained from the South Texas College of Law Frank Evans Center for Conflict Resolution. This skillset not only enhances her ability to negotiate favorable outcomes in complex legal disputes but also underscores her holistic approach to legal representation.
